Case Study: New office complex, Huddersfield
Approximately 15 years ago Dales Water Services Ltd had drilled a production borehole for a factory unit for its use in material dying.
After several years of industrial decline in West Yorkshire the factory reduced its output and sold off part of its premises to be converted into a high quality office and apartment complex.
The borehole was identified by the new developers as a potential source of ground source heating and cooling and subsequently contacted Dales Water to discuss the borehole.
Dales Water had all the details of the borehole, pumping plant on file and working with the consultants could establish the changes necessary to revive the borehole.
- Installed a new larger capacity pump to meet the new sites demand.
- Supplied and installed the appropriate water treatment technology.
- The borehole provides near free heating and cooling system for the modern offices and apartments.
- Works brought in on time and on budget.
