Case Study: Industrial Site, West Yorkshire

Dales Water Services Ltd were asked by a utilities provider to drill two 100m boreholes into a Limestone aquifer (water bearing rock) to provide a groundwater abstraction for use with the factory and in their industrial process.

We established and carried out the drilling work encountering artesian head (water coming out of the ground under its own pressure) and capping and sealing the boreholes appropriately to bring the water under control.

The two boreholes were completed and the site provided with a cheap, good quality water supply.

  • Two boreholes drilled to more than 100m depth.
  • Artesian head controlled and utilised.
  • Good quality water provided.
  • Works brought in on time and on budget.
