Case study 1:

A farm, situated at a high elevation deep in the Yorkshire Dales with a beck at its southern extent contacted Dales Water Services. The Farm was looking to utilise a natural spring that flows through its land as its water supply, and particularly for utilisation in a new state of the art dairy facility that was being constructed. Dales Water Services Ltd was commissioned to adapt the spring supply and make it into a useable resource.

Dales Water utilised the existing water storage tank, connecting it into a specially designed pump room, selecting a modern efficient pump to pump the water to the various applications within the dairy, including wash down, foot sprayers and for cooling of the milk, ensuring that no water is wasted and any clean water is re-circulated into the system. Recognising an existing pumped system and applying this as a backup. Working with other industry professionals to provide the water at the correct pressure and to the various applications Dales Water provided the right volume, flow and pressure (along with a backup system) of water to the modern facility.
